Outreach and Partnership Committee

The Project Co-lead will be responsible for the overall coordination of YASM’s Outreach and Partnerships work. Working with a team of Regional Outreach Officers under their supervision, and reporting to the Committee Co-chairs, the Project Co-lead will implement online and in-person (As Covid-19 regulations may allow) identification of stakeholders, networking, analysing stakeholder data and designing and maintaining a Stakeholders Directory. The incumbent will facilitate creation of and or joining existing consortia in the field of Human Trafficking and Modern Slavery. They will also be expected to facilitate internal networking of YASM’s committees.

Evaluation

The first three months of the volunteer experience will be an orientation period with an evaluation upon completion of the orientation period. All volunteers will have an opportunity for check-ins every 60 days with formal evaluations from the committee Co-Chairs every six months about their work and performance to help guide them in their professional development.

Training and Supervision

  • Attends general volunteer orientation
  • Participates in capacity building and educational workshops throughout their time as a volunteer
  • Training and supervision conducted by the Co-Chairs of  Outreach and Partnerships Committee

Time Commitment

  • Volunteers will commit to YASM’s work at a time commitment of 5 hours per week.
  • Time is flexible to be distributed anyhow reasonably throughout the week.
  • However, time can be extended as necessary when work demands and volunteers are expected to be flexible enough to take extra time upon agreement with the supervisor and or other YASM members.
  • Volunteers are expected to communicate their weekly schedules with their supervisors and other workmates for easy coordination of activities.
  • Schedules should be agreed upon with Co-chairs and co-volunteers and YASM staff for coordination purposes.

The Youth Against Slavery Movement is a youth-led, youth-centered movement working to empower and engage youth as key influencers of the anti human trafficking and contemporary forms of slavery movement.
